Samsung Galaxy Lockout! |
Well you have come to the right place we have the solution you need.
What will this Fix DO?
Note this method will allow you full access to your Samsung Galaxy after too many pattern attempts or a forgotten password, however this hard reset will wipe the phone clean, so all data on the phones internal memory will be wiped. The contents of your SD card and SIM card will however remain intact. This will not damage or hinder the functionality of the device in any way.
Which Devices will this work on?
Now this fix will work on all Samsung Galaxy smart phones including the: Samsung Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy Y and many other variants of the galaxy line.
How to Unlock the Samsung Galaxy After too many pattern attempts or forgotten password.
1. Power down the device.
2. Hold down the: up volume key,the home button and the power button all at the same time.
The device should power on into the Recovery mode shown below:
Recovery Mode |
3.Using the home button to select and the volume up and down to navigate either up or down select the third option as shown above which says : Wipe Data/Factory Reset.
4. You should now see the following recovery screen:
Select Yes |
Select Yes-Delete all user to wipe all data on the device. Allow the device to do its thing and finally when it gives the options again- Reboot.
5. That's it the device will boot up similar to the first time you bought it, simply configure it and the device should boot up and not ask for the password.
Be sure to leave a comment if this was helpful and solved your problem.

ReplyDeleteNo problem-thanks for taking the time to comment.
Deletethis is good IF YOUR LOOKING TO DELETE ALL OF YOUR DATA ON YOUR PHONE this did take the password but also it did delete all of my pictures and ALL data on my phone that is the part that made me very mad i had to redo everything on my whole phone!
ReplyDeleteSorry for your loss, but I did mention it would wipe your phone clean-I even placed the text in red so that you would not miss it, Guess you did not read the entire article on what this fix would do.
DeleteAlso without using your G mail account that you used at sign-up its next to impossible to regain access to the phone -so it was this or keep the phone as a souvenir. Next time go into camera settings and tell android to save your pics to the SD card and not to the phone memory. Best of luck and thanks for the comment.

Deletehi mine is showing a red word in ODIN MODE then down there's PRODUCT NAME, CUSTOM BIN DOWN:NO ,CURRENT BIN, then a green android picture , then Downloading ....., and Do not turn off target !!... so what do i do next ????
ReplyDeleteSeems you or someone modified your phone with ODIN from the default boot loader or recovery console, most likely to root or unlock your device and as such you should look into restoring or resetting your device with ODIN.
DeleteThe above fix works on all unmodified Android phones and on some modified ones depending on the type of modification. Sorry this particular method did not work for you- simply wait until ODIN does its thing and you should be OK to power off the device once again and look into using the ODIN Mod.
thank you it really helped me

ReplyDeletethe recovery data did not appear..what should i do?? can u help me ;(
ReplyDeleteYou are most likely releasing the keys too soon, try holding them longer as the device powers on, on some devices such as my Galaxy S3 it takes a few attempts to get into the recovery mode. Simply try again till you get it.

By doing this, does it wipe contacts? Or are your contacts on ur sim?
ReplyDeletePlease answer ASAP :)
your contacts can be on your SIM or your phone at the same time or partially on both so its impossible to tell.In my experience and to be safe what you need to do is back up your contacts to your SD card. There is a guide at the end of the article it's link #4 beneath: Other Android Tips Too Good to Miss.
DeleteAgain See it just above towards the end of the article, good luck.

ReplyDeleteAwesome.. thank u very much
ReplyDeleteBro. When i reboot my phone its too slow to open again. Is it normal?until now im stock on the samsung logo
ReplyDeleteNo this is not normal as the changes you made as directed by the instructions does not mess with the functionality of your device in any way as can be seen by the many people this has helped.
DeleteTry this Solution as it relates to your problem:
1. Repeat the procedure and factory wipe or reset your device- Do not reboot as you did the first time.
2. Choose option four that says: Wipe Cache partition.
3. When step 2 is complete, reboot.
Let me know if that fixes your issue Anthony.
thnx

Deletevery help full u doing a great job keep it up,,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, but my contacts that was on phone are gone, can you help us to find them?
ReplyDeleteI am glad this worked for you, in relation to your contacts as per the warning in red above it does wipe the contacts that were stored on the phones memory. I did place a guide on backing them up to your Memory card as well at the end of the article.
DeleteTry logging back into the original Google account that you were using before the wipe, it should have backed up all your data, and should restore your contacts. This is a hit and miss proposition as it sometimes work and doesn't at other times. Its your best chance.
thanks.. a big help..:)
ReplyDeletemy device has been hanged up , after pressing all the buttons its standby with samsung name on it
ReplyDeleteNever had that issue, power down the device, if the power button does not work pull the battery. Then simply power on again and follow the instructions by hitting the button combination, only let go when the logo flashes the first time.

DeleteSir, After wiping and rebooting my phone, the logo of samsung shows then goes to black.. then I can't turn on my phone now.. what should I do? but before rebooting my phone isn't fully charged, do u think it's the problem as well? pleass help..
DeleteFirst let me say that you should never attempt to do anything on your phone that involves fixing it without a full charge-that goes without saying. Did it power down when you were wiping it before it was able to finish?
DeleteRemove the battery and redo the wipe after clear or wipe the cash partition and reboot. Best of luck.
while choosing the options, my phone battery accidentally came out and now my phone wont turn on. Please helpppp!!!
ReplyDeleteMy friend you might have just accidentally bricked your phone, the process should not be interrupted once it has started. Try this:
DeleteCheck to see if your battery is OK in other words if its faulty.Make sure its charging while the phone is off. Then while its off Pull the battery once more (While its off) leave it out a bit and power up once more. If it powers up simply attempt the flash once more-being extra careful this time.
OK. now my phone is fine again and i tried the method again but i cant select the options with home or power button. when i pressed home button, options appeared and when i pressed again to select, options disappeared. it wont go to the next selection- no no no no yes no no no. now i am stuck. how can i get out ? pls help thanks.
Deleteshould i just take out the battery?
DeleteYes based on what you are telling me.
Deleteomg, ive been seating here for 4 hours wondering what to do and you have saved my life, there is so much on my phone and thanks to u and an sd card that saves automaticly i didnt have to loose anything, i think that u r my knight in shinning armer thank u so much i just cant stop crying of happyness thank u xxxx
ReplyDeleteI am speechless, So Glad this was able to help you out of your bind, it made writing this guide worth every minute I spent putting it together.
DeleteHi Ricardo Gardener if i did this process my total contacts and messages in phone memory only if i did this method i will lose all data or not ?
ReplyDeletepls help me my total contact's in phone only i dont want to lose my contact's pls pls pls
Hi chowdaryorkut Yes you will loose everything in your phones memory and that includes contacts and messages.
DeleteI do not have a solution for you in terms of backing them up now that you have been locked out. I am sorry this method will give you back access but the sacrifice is your contacts and messages. In the future please back up your data esp your contacts.
Great ..it worked well for my Galaxy Y ....thanks :)
ReplyDeleteBro my phone got locked ..Too many pattern attempt..i have tried several times my phone is Galaxy grand quattro I8552 but my phone is not going under recovery mode instead restarting and also tried several combinations of volume+menu+Power button.. trying from last 3 days totally tired..do you have some other method where i can unlock my phone like boot or something or via computer please help
ReplyDeleteThis is your best course of action, Your phones does have the mode all you need to do is do the button combination and only let go when you see the Samsung logo. That's it try the method again.
Deletemy phone keeps going back to login details to unlock my google account but I don't have my google account details.. what to do, please help
ReplyDeleteYou need to follow the instructions and do the button combo, only let go after seeing the Samsung logo or Brand of your phone displayed for the first time.
DeleteIf you do it wrong you will go back to the login Screen.
need help phone is still coming up too many pattern attempts log in too your google account
ReplyDeleteYou are not performing the button combo correctly, only let go when you see the first logo of your phone.
Deletedon't combo perfectly it still saying too many pattern attempts login to your google account ;) ???
DeleteWell works ever time for me on every device I have ever tried. Describe the button layout of your device: Physical home button or not and give me the model and brand.
DeleteSamsung galaxy GT-I9000 it has the excactky the same button layout as the one in your step by step pictures
DeleteDo the Button Combo as indicated and only let go after seeing the Samsung logo flash once. Always works perfectly for me in all phone models that I have tried.
Deleteall application will be reset or not?
Deleteall application will reset or not?
ReplyDeleteAll applications will be reset and you will need to re-download your apps and such
Deletethanks for this valuable post...
ReplyDeletethank you so much.....hope there was a way to save the data as well!!
ReplyDeleteHi Ive tried your splution and it worked BUT as soon as the android logo appears after the pressing yes for that factory reset the text showed russian language cant understand a thing..any idea about this my phone is samsung galxy ace..TIA
ReplyDeleteI cannot say about the Russian Language change as I have never seen that before, I assume its the options except that they are in an alternative language.
DeleteWhat I suggest is that you translate whats on screen using Google and navigate the onscreen menus -you could even use Google translate to tell you what each text means and you should be fine.
thank you very much for going to the trouble to help the less phone savvy amongst us ,worked great !!
ReplyDeleteWorked a treat, happy daughter for once. Thank you! :-)
ReplyDelete:) so happy for you and your daughter my friend, brings a smile to my face
DeleteAm. using samsung GT 15500 and I ve tried this method for 100 times, but did not see any menu.please what should I do..
ReplyDeleteOk with your device its a little different:
Delete1. Wait at the too many pattern attempt screen and let the battery run down to the warning that says low battery pops up.
2. Then click battery usage and then click on the Home Button.
3. You should now be on the Home screen, go to location&security in settings and find and disable the pattern lock or simply try and put in the old one that worked to change it.
4. If the above fails try creating a new G-mail to associate with your current account in this mode and once again log in to your account using wifi from the too many pattern attempt screen.
thanks bro :-)
ReplyDeletethnkx
ReplyDeleteit did not work for my samsung galaxy s4
ReplyDeleteReally i just tried the following and the S4 went into recovery mode quite easily, it also works on the S3 the same way:
Delete1. Power off the device
2. Hold the: Volume up+Power and Home button down all at once.
3. As soon as you see the Galaxy s4 or 3 logo let go off the buttons.
4. Navigate with volume key and power button and follow the rest of the instruction above.
thanks.. i just having a hard time coz my home key button got broken but luckily i made it to factory reset page and made it to select the wipe all data user very fortunately anyway thanks man or this effective and easy guide ^_^ God Bless u...

ReplyDeleteI attempted this on my Samsung Galaxy S and the Samsung icon would only flash on and off. When I release the buttons my phone will go back to the to many pattern attempts, where it asks for your email and password. What can I do??? Please help
ReplyDeleteThe problem is your timing, try this hold all the buttons mentioned above Volume up, home plus power button and as soon as the Samsung logo displays the first time let go of all buttons except the volume up, let me know if that works for you.
DeleteThank you soooo much, this very helpful!
ReplyDeleteTq. It was very helpful to reset my phone.

ReplyDeleteIt's work for me too. my mobile model is samsuny galaxy y. THANK YOU!
ReplyDeleteThank you. It"s work for me too.
ReplyDeleteIt worked. Thanks Ricardo.
ReplyDeleteIt didn't work for me I'm still getting the sign in to Google account screen :( please help!
ReplyDeleteAttempt again and be sure to wipe the data on the device.
Deleteapparently i have followed the steps and it has somehow worked but turning on the phone, there is this languange i dont understand and the phone keep asking the SIM pin. what could be the problem now?
ReplyDeleteThat's strange: For the language during setup there is a language option, should be easy to switch back to English either during initial setup or through settings after. As for the SIM pin if its your phone the only way a SIM pin can be on it is you set one so you should know your own pin friend. If you remove the SIM card it will allow you to access the phone but you need to probably contact your service provider to get the find if you forgot it, have your info on hand that you got when you first got your phone or SIM card with your carrier.
Deleteit has worked yeeeeeeeaaaaa. thanks Ricardo
